The Circle is the Medicine

There is a sacred agreement when you enter a circle.

A circle has no corners, no hierarchy and everyone is equal.

You speak only when holding the talking object.

You do not interrupt another person’s share and you do not attempt to fix. You simply witness.

What is shared in the circle remains in the circle.

The energy is held within a sacred container; one that allows truth to be spoken, heard and honoured.

It is never by chance who feels the call to enter.

Those who gather are often mirrors.  They are soul reflections.

Meeting us at the exact place we are ready to be seen, healed or remembered.

When we gather together in ceremony, something shifts.

We soften, we open and we allow ourselves to feel held.

Energetically, it’s a weaving of light, frequency and awareness.

This is the power of coming together.

Things move more easily when we’re not alone.

The ancients understood this.

They gathered in circles, in ritual and shared spaces at sacred sites where earth, energy and human consciousness converged.

This is the power of the circle. A place to return, remember and come home.

Many of us have felt this at some point.

A moment where separation dissolves and we remember we are part of something far greater than the individual self.

And when our inner world shifts, so too does the reality we experience around us.

Yet in the modern world, something has changed.

We have freedom to move, more choices than ever before on where to go, where to work, where to eat or how to live.

And yet, many of us feel more disconnected than ever.

We no longer cross paths with the same people in the same places.

Our lives are flexible, mobile and constantly shifting.

Even if you’re going to all the right places, the ones that once held community or shared environments. They often ask us to keep moving, to keep consuming or to keep rushing through the day. These places that promise connection, rarely hold it. People sit side by side and remain in separate worlds as their attention is pulled in by devices, their conversations fragmented and their presence often diluted.

We are connected everywhere… and yet anchored nowhere.

Some call that freedom.

But without grounding, freedom becomes drifting.

Like a balloon untethered constantly floating, searching and never quite landing.

That’s not to say stop exploring or following what it is that calls to your soul.

But growth doesn’t come from movement alone. It comes from what anchors you within it: repetition, ritual and the willingness to return.

This is the power of the circle.

A place you come back to.

A space that holds you as you are, and as the person you become.

Several hands circle a colorful pile of pink and purple flower petals on grass, creating a festive, collaborative scene.
